New Year New Goals
I'm sorry I haven't blogged lately but I was really busy. i had three different Christmases, but stayed Covid safe. This year i published many books, that were just growing dust. I realised that I need to trust my instinct. When a book is done it is done. There is no need to hold onto it for years to try to make it longer. I write novellas and that is fine. it is also okay to be self published and that doesn't make you any less of a writer. That was a long, hard lesson to learn.
So, this year i will focus my time on new books and better marketing of the ones i have. i have made some author friends and I have tried to help who I can. I am working on three novels right now, all being thrillers. I have written out the concept now it's just a matter of writing them. I am watching thriller movies to get into the mind frame as thriller isn't my usual genre. i will be changing my poetry page to other and that is where I will add more books. i think the thrillers will go into horror.
I am also going to complete my other novels. Two fantasies and another thriller (or horror if you will). One YA Fantasy is Bloody Mary which (like all my fantasies) has dark undertones. The other is Weeping Willow a fantasy love story. The thriller is called Cabin Number 4.
I also plan on finishing some picture books I have. I have written the books and drawn the pictures, but I have lost them at the moment. But we will be going through all of our stuff and, hopefully, i will find them. One is a lullaby and the other is Hippo's Hiccups, a rhyming picture book, written like The Silly Goose. I have more children's books but I haven't drawn te pictures or finished the writing.
So, as you can see, I have a lot of writing ahead of me this year. Many books to be published and, hopefully, I will come up with even more new ideas. I wish you all a Happy new year and may God bless you all.
